Art and sustainability. This is the combination chosen by the Italian B Corp who inaugurated the new eco-mural #UnlockTheChange in Naples: a monumental work signed by the artist Zed1 and created with Airlite eco-paints.

Through a message of sustainability in the name of beauty, the work aims to stimulate and inspire citizens, businesses and institutions to act to contribute to the now indispensable transition towards more sustainable and regenerative economic and cultural paradigms.

SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY HIGH ON THE LIST OF COMPANIES' PRIORITIES

Exactly thirty years after the closure of the Italsider (ex Ilva) of Fuorigrotta and the ban on asbestos, #UnlockTheChange represents a clear message from the Italian B Corp to support the importance of considering social and environmental sustainability high on the list of companies' priorities. An artistic intervention that at the same time generates a positive impact on the territory, with its ability to absorb the smog produced by 79 cars on a daily basis.

THE B CORP

AN EVOLVED MODEL IN TERMS OF A SUSTAINABLE AND REGENERATIVE COMPANY

A global movement that aims to spread a new economic paradigm, in which companies become protagonists in regenerating society and the biosphere. The vision of B Corp is to trigger positive competition between all companies, so that they are measured and evaluated on the basis of the positive impact they have on people and the planet.

The more than 4000 B Corps worldwide and the 200,000 companies that use their assessment tools, in 77 countries and 153 sectors, represent a concrete, positive and scalable solution that creates value for both shareholders and all stakeholders.

THE MURALES

A COLLECTIVE REFLECTION AROUND TO THE #UNLOCKTHECHANGE THEME

The mural was created with the involvement of the entire territory: the Silio Italico middle school together with its manager Diego Rije actively collaborated, not only granting the wall for the realization of the work, but involving both teachers and young students in creative workshops that gave life to the bulbs of change, thus stimulating collective reflection around the theme of #UnlockTheChange.

Made with the patented Airlite technology by the artist Zed1, in collaboration with the international art platform PalomArt which has put together a very strong team with the two assistants who are also artists: Luca Zeus40, an internationally renowned artist and Giovanni Anastasia, a young and talented artist Neapolitan with great prospects.

THE artist

MARCO BURRESI AKA ZED1

ZED1 is one of the most popular and well-known Italian street artists. Born in 1977 in Florence, he started painting walls during the first half of the 90s. His aesthetics are the result of a personal pictorial imagination capable of effectively intercepting and conveying themes and ideas related to society and the human being.
